Annual fee

Annual Maintenance Fee

Owners of properties in Grosvenor and Lansdowne Crescents are legally obligated to pay the annual maintenance fee for the gardens, as outlined in their property deeds. There are currently 113 properties.

Payment Due Date and Amount
The exact amount is determined by the Committee, after careful consideration of previous years running costs and any known expenditure in the coming years. A notice detailing the fee will be sent to owners and tenants in June or thereabouts. We kindly request prompt payment.

Importance of Timely Payment
Delays in payment from a small number of owners can significantly impact our limited budget. As we rely solely on owner contributions, timely payment is crucial for maintaining the gardens.

Annual Maintenance Fee
The 2025 annual maintenance fee is £160.

Ways of paying
By bank transfer to:
Grosvenor & Lansdowne Crescents Proprietors Committee
Bank: Royal Bank of Scotland
Sort Code: 83-51-00
Account number: 10785919

Understanding the Rules and Regulations
All owners and tenants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the GLCG rules and regulations. These guidelines help ensure the continued upkeep and enjoyment of the Grosvenor and Lansdowne Crescents Gardens by all.

Let Properties
The increasing number of let properties can make it challenging to track down the correct details for payment requests. If we're unable to contact the owner or their agent, we may request payment from the current resident. However, the responsibility for paying the fee ultimately lies with the property owner. Owners may arrange for tenants to make the payments. We recommend addressing this matter in any tenancy agreement.

Annual Garden Party

Every year, the Committee hosts an annual garden party. Its purpose is to bring the community together in a relaxed, convivial way, allow new proprietors to meet established ones, and for everyone to meet the garden committee, talk about the gardens, and suggest ways in which they might be improved.
Details will be distributed via the newsletter.

Hosting Events

Hosting Events and enjoying the Gardens
The gardens are yours to enjoy at any time of year. They provide a lovely setting for picnics, parties, barbecues, and other gatherings. Please be mindful of others when present in the gardens.
Guidelines:

  • Because of the other proprietors' interests, you are effectively in someone else's garden rather than your own. Please be mindful of that.

  • Please be considerate of other residents. Loud music, live or recorded, can be disruptive.

  • Always dispose of litter in the bins provided or better still,  take it home with you.

  • Remember that other residents may also be using the gardens at the same time.

  • Commercial events of any description are not allowed.

Keys

Each property is entitled to one garden key, which can be obtained from the Committee by owners or tenants who have paid their fees. Currently, the Committee is not providing additional keys to households.
Keys must not be lent or transferred to others.

Lost Keys

If you lose your garden key, please first check with other garden users to see if anyone has found it. If the key is not located, contact the Committee to report the loss and arrange for a replacement.
A replacement key will be charged at a fee of £25, at the Committee's discretion.

Moving away

Keeping Us Informed of Changes

It can be difficult to stay updated on property changes. One of our most time-consuming tasks is maintaining a current list of residents and owners. You can greatly assist us by:

  • Notifying us directly or through your solicitors when you're moving.

  • Asking your buyer to Contact us to update their information.

Many outgoing owners generously pass on the benefit of their paid fees to the new owner along with the key. If you're planning to do this, please let the GLCG Treasurer know.
